Head of Learning and Development
James Lynch Jim has been a key part of the development of Harmony Partnership UK over the past few years. As a facilitator and course director Jim has worked with many valued clients and familiar brands such as British Gas, Somerfield stores and Yamaha, in additional he has supported many public bodies such as the Police and Fire Service, and the Home Office as well as supporting business thinking and practices in the charitable sectors such as the RSPB and the YMCA.

With a passion for personal leadership and management development Jim works with many of our clients in tailoring learning and development workshops and programmes to suit their needs. Jim is a highly competent practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and regularly delivers 1-2-1 interventions, team development workshops and diversity and dignity awareness solutions, where MBTI forms the heart of the session. He is highly sought after for his skill with this instrument and is highly regarded in this field.

Jim's is also a PRINCE2 practitioner and ISO 9001 internal auditor and he uses that clear logical thinking in supporting teams to gain clarity when required. He has been active in the development of policy and strategy within the Police Service on a number of key operational issues. He was a co-author of the national police leadership programme aimed at under represented groups within the police service, a programme heralded as a success by the then policing minster the Rt. Hon. Hazel Blears MP.

Articulate and confident Jim has a presence and business acumen that instils trust at all levels and demonstrates the professional integrity and capability of the Harmony Partnership. Jim is a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (F.Inst.LM) and a continuing student of the Open University where he has gained qualification in such subjects as Social Sciences, English Law and Business Studies. He is qualified in Adult and Further Education training delivery and has a natural gravitas, operating comfortably at high levels of commerce. This presence is perhaps due to the senior positions his has held during his career within the Police Service, the commercial sector and more recently the Civil Service.
